ArtBeat Fun At LEI Grand Rapids

By News

On Saturday, September 24, the Monroe North Business Association sponsored ArtBeat, a first annual community event in the heart of the Monroe North Business District, one of Grand Rapids’ recently revitalized neighborhoods that is experiencing a renaissance of commerce, culture and fun.  This rejuvenated industrial neighborhood is home to our Grand Rapids office, and LEI joined in ArtBeat by handing out and stamping ArtBeat passports that encouraged visitors to take an interactive journey through the Monroe North Business District as they experienced ArtPrize.   The neighborhood is hosting over 100 ArtPrize entries this year.  ArtPrize is an annual art competition in Grand Rapids that has earned a reputation as the most-attended public art event in the world.

By Natural Resources, News

Lakeshore Environmental, Inc. (LEI) performed a wetland investigation of 1,850 acres of property owned by a nearby county.  Activities involved a review of available state and federal information, an on-Site review of topography, vegetation and soils, and indicators of wetland hydrology.  The investigation was consistent with state and federal guidelines.  Based on the presence of wetland areas at several locations across the Site, LEI provided recommendations for future land-use planning.
